Getting outdoors
Fishing both from the shore and by boat is popular at the Ellison Creek Reservoir. Boat access is possible via two public boat ramps. One boat ramp is located in the City Park on the east shore, with restrooms, parking, courtesy docks, and a picnic area. The other boat ramp is located on the western shore near the northern end of the lake. Here you can also find parking, restrooms, and picnicking facilities. Water sports such as jet-skiing, wake-boarding, and waterskiing are permitted on the lake.
Camping at Ellison Creek Reservoir
On the east shore of Ellison Creek Reservoir, on the edge of the town of Lone Star, is the Scenic View Motel and RV Park. The campground has 25 full hookup sites and can cater for even the largest rigs. Located right on the shoreline, you have easy access to a boat ramp where you can launch jet skis and smaller boats. Your pets can come with you to the RV park but must be kept on a leash at all times. Sited in the shade of trees, this campground is both peaceful and in a beautiful location.

The town of Lone Star on the reservoirs east shoreline has just about everything you’ll need while RV camping near Ellison Creek Reservoir. With several gas stations, shopping, and a choice of restaurants, you only need to travel to the larger city of Mount Pleasant for specific needs.
