Shenandoah Valley Campground is the only campground in Virginia with a spectacular Waterfall and four 6-person Indoor Hot Tubs. They are located along a 1 1/2 mile horseshoe bend of the Middle River. The Shenadoah Valley is one of the most scenic areas on the East Coast, so the campground is ideal for a family vacation. The Campground offers Wi-Fi, River Tubing, Wading, and Trout and Bass Fishing in the River as well as Trout and Bass Fishing in our Well-Stocked Weed Free Lake. They have a huge pool and a kiddie pool, 18 Hole mini-golf, game room and two playgrounds. RV facilities include large shaded pull-thrus and shaded back-ins along the river. Full hookups as well as Satellite TV Hookups are available. Their Heated/AC camping cabins offer cable hookup, porch glider, grill, fire ring and deck. Campground guests can also look forward to pulled pork barbecue, and hand dipped ice cream. pitch horseshoes or corn hole, play basketball or sand volleyball or cool off under the refreshing waterfall.

You can fish in the pond, take a dip in the pool, play volleyball or basketball, and if you?re tired of physical activity you can watch live music and dances. Historic Charlottesville is just 20 minutes away but you can also visit local breweries, apple orchards, museums and do some wine tasting in Nelson county. With both wooded and shaded sites you are sure to find the right RV sites for your RV rental.

Sherando Lake Group Camp

Known locally as the jewel of the mountains this serene location offers camping, fishing, swimming on a sandy beach. There are a number of natural springs to cool off in as you hike during the summer months. Within 10 miles of the camp ground there is a golf course and ski resort, the nearest grocery store is just 15 minute drive to Stuarts Draft. You can also watch a fun summertime program at the amphitheater. Sites here can accommodate any size RV rental but the roads getting in can be a bit tricky. If you are a little nervous driving your RV rental choose a sub 30' to easily access this great location.

Shenandoah Valley KOA

The Shenandoah Valley KOA in Harrisonburg, Virginia, is a very peaceful park that boasts several full hookup RV sites which are also supplied with cable TV and free wifi, though the wifi can be a bit intermittent on account of the surrounding mountainous area. Visitors to the campground can enjoy warm days and cool nights at the foot of Massanutten Mountain, and it's just a short drive to local art galleries, wineries, Civil War battlefields and the magnificent Skyline Drive along the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is also a "U-Pick" for the lavender flower buds during the summer and fall bloom seasons. And, if you just need some time out, the rocking chairs on the front porch are inviting and relaxing.
