The state park RV campgrounds are excellent at Beech Fork State Park, and overall there are 275 campsites that are spread around four distinct areas. Eighty of the campsites are lakefront, and these are particularly popular. All sites have access to a full-service bathroom and restroom facilities. The campgrounds include Old Orchard, which has laundry, WiFi, and full hookups with water, sewer, and 50 amp service. Mickey Beach givers campers the option of either 30 amp or no electric hookups, while Four Coves and Lakeview campsites are only 30 amp electric.

The Highlands Museum and Discovery Center in Ashland, KY, offers something for all ages. You'll be able to enter a medical world or step into a 19th-century classroom or immerse yourself in the culture of music of Eastern Kentucky. Every area displays something new through a range of interactive exhibits, and there is even a play palace for toddlers. On sunny days, visitors are invited to rest on the front porch and enjoy the range of games on the puzzle garden.
