Getting Outdoors

Although Eagle Lake’s eastern and western banks are lined with residential housing and private developments, the northern side of the lake provides visitors with over two miles of accessible shoreline to take advantage of. Taking a boat out onto the waters is one of the best ways to explore every nook and cranny of Eagle Lake. Luckily, there are several public boat ramps spread along the lake’s shoreline, so those camping at Eagle Lake with their own boat in tow will have no problem accessing the water. Although there are no boat rental facilities on Eagle Lake, visitors can head into Burlington, where several outlets rent out everything from kayaks to jet skis.

Camping at Eagle Lake

Overrun by residential properties and state-run parks, RV camping at Eagle Lake is not possible. There are, however, plenty of options to set up camp with your RV rental, just a short drive away.

We loved our trip on Fiona’s camper van! It was perfectly cozy and well laid out for cooking and hanging - even in the cold temps we had during our trip. Best of all, it was the perfect place for our proposal!

We had a wonderful experience traveling with Samantha & Jim's van from Illinois to Florida. It was truly an unforgettable trip from start to finish. The van was comfortable, reliable, and perfectly suited for a long journey, making the entire adventure smooth and enjoyable. Everything about the trip exceeded our expectations. The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and easy to use, allowing us to focus on enjoying the journey, the scenery, and the time together rather than worrying about logistics. Samantha & Jim were exceptional. They were incredibly supportive, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. From the initial booking to answering questions, their communication and willingness to help gave us complete peace of mind on the road. We will certainly rent it again!
