Get out and explore the great outdoors, as there are plenty of places to do while at this state park. Visitors can go hiking down the numerous trails that meander through the land. Most of the trails in this park are located on the western side of the Guernsey Reservoir and run a total of 14 miles. Each trail will provide unique views of the park and dam as well as local wildlife. To help prevent you from getting lost, there are a handful of trail kiosks located along each pathway so you’ll be able to see where you are.

Camping at Guernsey State Park

There are a total of 139 motorhome sites which are split up into 12 different campgrounds around the park. The campgrounds are open year-round and offer amenities such as electric, showers, fire rings, and playgrounds.

Exploring the Area

As you travel around the area with your camper rental, you’ll discover quite a few places you could stop by at. A quick drive away in Cheyenne is the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum. Created in 1978, the museum is believed to house the world’s largest outdoor rodeo. In fact, visitors can watch rodeo tournaments held throughout the year at the museum’s rodeo stadium. The museum also offers ranch tours and various exhibits which highlight Western art and the history of the rodeo. There’s also a small store that sells unique rodeo items.
