RV rental Ole Bull State Park, PA: Motorhome rentals, camper van rentals and more

Named after a Norwegian violinist who founded a colony in the area in the 19th century, Ole Bull State Park offers exactly the sort of outdoor experience you'd expect to find in the Pennsylvania Wilds. Upon arrival in the park, the best way to get a feel for your surrounds is to head out on one of the local hiking trails. The trail network stretches to five miles in total, with each route offering a different way to experience the terrain. The three-quarter-mile Beaver Dam Nature Trail is an easy walk alongside Kettle Creek and its surrounding habitats, while Bull Trail is worth checking out for its excellent views of the park. If you're keen to set out on a longer journey, the 85-mile Susquehannock Trail System passes through the park and is perfect for backpackers. And if you remembered to pack your mountain bike into your rental RV, the trails in Ole Bull State Park and Susquehannock State Forest also welcome mountain bikers. If the mere thought of all that physical activity is making you feel tired, perhaps you'd prefer to go for a leisurely swim instead. Ole Bull State Park features a 150-foot sandy swimming beach on the banks of Kettle Creek, which is easily accessible from camping area #1. The beach is open from late May until the middle of September, and the creek's cool water provides welcome relief in summer. However, you do swim at your own risk. The other major pastime in Ole Bull State Park is fishing. Both Kettle Creek and Ole Bull Run are known to provide quality trout fishing, with anglers able to target brook, brown and rainbow trout. Of course, fishing isn't allowed in the swimming area, and you'll also need a valid fishing license before casting a line.
