The Great Outdoors

Stanford is an ideal destination to rent an RV if you want to explore the Portola Redwoods State Park, which sprawls across 2,800 acres of immense coastal redwoods. There are 18 miles of hiking trails to explore, including a track that leads to the Tip Toe Falls - a pretty cascade that tumbles into a small pool fed by Fall Creek. If you’re interested in the local history, the park also features the site of a shingle mill named after William Page who was responsible for building the Page Mill Road.

Another nearby option is the Treasure Island RV Park, a primarily residential RV and mobile home community that has a handful of short-stay sites. We had Kelvin’s Sprinter for 5 weeks so got to know it very well and it was perfect for our trip/needs.
Kelvin was a very helpful and generous host who was easy to get in touch with and quickly answered any questions we had.
The van handled everything well, was quick to set up and pack down and we’d happily rent again.
Thanks Kelvin

Great van and fantastic trip!! Very easy to drive, clean and comfy. I rented a van to see how much I liked van life and I had the absolute best time. This one included all the essentials and everything you would think to need (it also included pots and pans so it should be included in the listing). There were some extras I know other van lifers swear by like a light that sticks magnetically to the side of the van and shines on the ground so you can see your way around it. Super cool! It was also extremely clean and SO ORGANIZED. Everything had a little place :) The heater made it all warm and cozy at night too and I like that the stove was gas. Very nice kitchen set up. Only a couple of things to note: the bed is a bit small but I think you have to deal with that most of the time in van life. I do wish there were more written instructions like a binder as I had to message the owner a couple of times (they were quick to respond though). Overall I would say rent this van, you won't regret it :) Thanks so much Winter for my little grand adventure and happy van life!
