The Manasquan Reservoir supplies around 30 million gallons of water per day, thanks to its four billion-gallon water capacity and a maximum depth of 40 inches.

Getting Outdoors
Boating is one of the best ways to experience the Manasquan Reservoir. All vessels (with electric motors), sailboats, kayaks, and canoes are permitted on the Reservoir. Launch your boat of choice from the east ramp at the Visitor Center. The boat ramp is open seasonally, from the beginning of March through the end of November. It doesn't matter if you have a watercraft, you’ll be able to rent a kayak or rowboat, or book a private sailing lesson at the Visitor Center.
Camping at Manasquan Reservoir
Monmouth County offers idyllic wilderness settings for spending some nights under the stars in a campervan. Approximately 15 minutes away from the reservoir is the 2,261-acre Turkey Swamp Park in Freehold, NJ. This is a great option for RV camping near the Manasquan Reservoir. As well as being close to the reservoir, Turkey Swamp Park features miles of trails, an archery range, soccer fields, picnic areas, plus a 17-acre lake for boating, fishing, and ice-skating.
Exploring the Area
During your stay at the Manasquan Reservoir, swing by the park’s Visitor Center. The center provides boat and bicycle rentals, a bait shop, plus stunning views of the landscape from the second-level observation deck. It is also the site of all the Reservoir’s boating activities. Set out from here on one of the 45-minute narrated boat tours around the Manasquan Reservoir, which is a fun way to catch a glimpse of local wildlife. The park also features an Environmental Center where you can discover interactive exhibits, multi-media presentations, and additional wildlife observation areas.
