It is a large campground with 185 shaded and wooded sites, some of which are right up against the lakefront. The park can accommodate all camper sizes, including pull-thru sites. The other nearby option to go camping with an RV is Indian Rock RV Park and Campground. Each campsite here comes with both water and electricity, and many sites also have sewer. There is also a large swimming pool, mini-golf and plenty of sports to take part in.

There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, with the city of Trenton just a short drive away. The New Jersey State House is a must-see in the city and is one of the most historic sites in the area. Visitors are able to take a guided tour of the building, with the most popular rooms being the assembly chamber, the senate conference room, the plaza, and the statehouse annex.

For a good example of the colorful history of the city, consider a visit to the Old Barracks Museum. The building was primarily constructed to house British soldiers and also separately as a hospital. Today is it is the last standing British Military army barracks in North America. Every day the energetic staff put on enactments of battles, which can be a great visual way to learn. Words inscribed into the stone on the side of the building by soldiers can still be seen there today.

For an adrenalin rush, the nearby Six Flags amusement park is the place to head. It is filled with some hair-raising big rides for those that want a bit of a thrill, as well as some smaller rides that are better suited to families.
