Getting Outdoors

Belmont Lake is perhaps the park’s most significant attraction. This 26-acre water body is a haven for anglers, especially during the summer when it’s hard to miss a couple of fishermen trying their luck on the lake’s healthy bass population. Springtime is great for trout fishing, and if lucky, you’ll even get to see the occasional osprey swooping down for fish.

Camping at Belmont Lake State Park

When you are planning to camp in an RV near West Babylon and Belmont Lake State Park, you’ll have a couple of options to consider over where to base your rental RV. Look up the Battle Row Campground in Old Bethpage when you’re not eager to camp far from Belmont Lake State Park. The RV Park’s back-in sites are big rig accessible and offer 15, 20, and 30 amp power hookups. Campers also have access to water spigots spread throughout the campground as well as a dump station.

Exploring the Area

Even before setting foot inside New York City, you’ll still be able to find quite a lot of tourist attractions in Long Island. Jill was super helpful and communicative. Prepare to spend at least an hour going over the van on day 1 as there's a lot to learn. But Jill also provides written guides in case you forget anything or have any issues and she's super responsive if you do have any questions.
