Getting Outdoors

Devil's Den Preserve, near Redding, is a historically significant nature preserve, having been settled as early as 5,000 years ago; it was an important region in the 1800s due to commercial charcoal production. The park is open year-round except for specific dates during which managed deer hunting is conducted; it's an excellent destination for hiking and plant and wildlife observation.

We are hooked on van camping thanks to a great experience with our rented van and our hosts Chris & Tat! They provided a well appointed and functional van and we’re there for any of our questions and support along the way. I highly recommend you check them out and this band for your camping adventures on the East Coast!
