Getting Outdoors
Once you're done with the historic site, there are additional landmarks you'll want to see; one of these is the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary. The sanctuary is an Audubon Center and is associated with the Important Bird Areas program, a conservation effort focusing on at-risk bird species. Some of the bird species you might see here are the great egret, the eastern kingbird and the red-tailed hawk, to name a few. The sanctuary has a native garden where you can enjoy the flowers and other plants in a cultivated setting and trails for you to enjoy hiking.
Camping Near Sagamore Hill National Historic Site
There aren't any facilities for camping at Sagamore Hill NHS, but there a few options within a short traveling distance of the site. Battle Row Campground, near Bethpage, is a county-run RV and tent camping ground with limited or primitive hookup options for you to choose from. The park is pet-friendly if you happen to have your furry family member with you.
Exploring the Area
East Norwich is a moderately-sized hamlet with several restaurant choices within the city limits or nearby, making it an ideal destination if you really want to enjoy a great meal. There are Italian and Mediterranean eateries, seafood restaurants and steakhouses, and that's just the beginning.

Edgar was an amazing travel van. Everything i needed and more. A few of the nights I stayed in the van , the temps were in single digits, and I was warm and toasty . Tatiana was more than helpful, with any questions I had about all the amenities in the van. Would definitely rent Edgar again , for any adventures I have planned.

What an amazing RV and great hosts, couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Matt and Victoria were helpful and accommodating during the booking process; delivery set up; throughout the trip; and at pick up. The RV was truly a home on wheels, they have everything you can think of to make you feel like you are in your own home. Would recommend it for your next camping/glamping trip or as we used it for, a place to hang with our fur babies while getting some work done in our home.

This camper was amazing! His camper was as described, very clean and they had the bedding already made for us and very comfy. Shelton was a great communicator and helped us when we had questions. It had all basic items needed! If we would camp again we would want to use this one again ! The couches were very comfy and had heated seats and the fire place was really a nice touch
