The main attraction at Lake Texoma State Park is the massive water reservoir on which it is built and attracts over six million visitors each year. Activities at the lake include swimming, jet skiing, fishing, boating, and kayaking, and whatever takes your fancy. Boating is a very popular activity on the lake with almost any kind of boat being allowed on the lake. It does not matter if you want to take your pontoon boat out on the water, or if you enjoy paddle boarding, canoeing or kayaking, the lake is just ideal for all manner of water sports. There are plenty of ramps at the state park and plenty of water to explore while out on the lake. Another activity for your enjoyment at the park is swimming. There is a swimming area here on the East Side of Ben’s Campground. On those hot Oklahoma afternoons, take a dip into the cool waters of the lake. However, swimming at the park is only allowed in a designated area. You cannot swim near the Marina. When you intend to cool off by swimming in the waters of the lake, do not forget to pack your sunscreen and umbrella in your RV rental. If running around and breaking a sweat is your fancy, the park has a volleyball court for team sports, a unique feature in a state park. Most parks do not feature courts for team sports. The court offers a unique way to bond with family or meet new friends.
