The Great Outdoors
Brandywine Battlefield State Park is nestled within the Brandywine Valley, and for those that visit it is almost possible to hear the sound of cannon fire. The park lies in the location of where in 1777, George Washington and the Continental Army suffered a defeat against British General William Howe. The park covers 52 acres and has a small museum which offers visitors the opportunity to walk through the rooms where Washington spent much of his time, and also admire artifacts from the battle.

For those looking for a KOA holiday park, there is one very close to Chadds Ford. Bring your own kayaks or rent one on site and take it down the river from the canoe landing. Kids of all ages will love the fun activities available on site including a jump pad, mini golf, and swimming pool, and especially the hand dipped ice cream.
