Every child has fond memories of riding the bus to school. Now parents and kids alike can create new memories on this brand spankin' new renovation of a 2000 Blue Bird TC2000 school bus that is ready to take you on week-end and week-long family adventures across the state. Glamping on wheels, baby! This Skoolie is outfitted with everything you need to hit the road. All you need is a bag of clothes and cooler of food.Enter the bus through the double swinging doors and up the stairs. There you are greeted 38 feet of awesomeness. A kitchen with huge sink and butcher block countertops. Enough cabinets to store everything securely out of site. A large futon and coffee table grace the other side of the bus. Pull out this futon for the bigger kids when it's time for bed.Past the kitchen and family room you find a set of bunk beds with night lights for bedtime stories. In the middle of the bus you'll find a full bathroom with a composting toilet, shower, and single vanity sink with mirror. There's also a utility closet with a water heater to make sure those showers are nice and warm year round and all the cleaning supplies are bundled up out of site.At the back of the bus is the master bedroom with a Queen size bed and memory foam mattress. There are also enough cubbies/cabinets in there to keep everyone's clothes out of the way, maximizing living space for everyone in the bus. The master bedroom has curtains on all windows in case neighbors are nearby. At the rear of the bus is the provided mini-split AC and Heater, provided ultra-quiet generator, provided grill, provided propane tank, and any extra cooler/firewood/storage that you want. 1 and 3-bike "Seasucker" bike racks can be attached to the back of the bus if you want to take a spin at your destination. This Skoolie is ready for boondocking or camping at RV-ready sites. You are sure to get lots of thumbs up on the road, high fives at your destination, and more memories than you know what to do with. What's includedThis Skooklie is setup to be turnkey ready so that you can leave the house with less than an hour prep. All you should need to bring is clothes, drinks, food, and your favorite games and entertainment. In the kitchen, we will provide bed linens (suited for the temperature outside), plates, utensils, cups, wine glasses, pots and pans, Keurig coffee maker with K-Cups, a microwave, cleaning supplies, etc.In the bathroom, you will find soap, shampoo, toilet paper, towels. If FM radio isn't your thing, then a Bluetooth speaker is on board to easily play some tunes inside or outside the Skoolie. The kids will love to talk over the bus loudspeaker :)For the bunk beds you will find a rail for the top bunk so the littles feel nice and secure.Five comfortable camping chairs, a propane tank, portable grill, an ultra-quiet generator (plus an extra gas can) are all at the back of the bus. Finally a vacuum, broom, and swiffer are on board in case things get dirty during your stay. RecommendationsPickup is in Richmond, Virginia. Delivery is available within a reasonable distance. There are so many places you can get to with this Skoolie. You can stay close and hit the wineries / breweries in Charlottesville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail. You can take it skiing at Wintergreen, Massanutten or Snowshoe. No seatbelts are required on a school bus so take the family on board or have them follow closely in the family ride. We have done both depending on distance.Other things to noteThe bus is setup to be ready for boondocking (i.e., driving anywhere and just parking and running off the generator and on board water tank) or going to a campsite and hooking up to the 30-Amp electric service and water. Composting toilet is super easy, clean, and doesn't leave any chemical odors in the bus. If you are not familiar, Google it.If you haven't driven an RV before have no fear. I hadn't either and within 15 minutes I felt comfortable. When you pick up the bus, I'll give you a short tutorial and test ride and you'll be off and running. There are no special license requirements to drive a school bus. It maxes out around 70 MPH and you can set cruise control at a very comfortable 55 MPH. It's vacation... there's no rush. Now let's go ENJOY and MAKE SOME MEMORIES!!
