Vaguely shaped like a fat snake with a gaping maw, Lake Coleman is used as a water supply for the city of Coleman, TX. The lake is surrounded by cattle ranches for miles around. Blue sky yawn overhead, dominating the dry, flat landscape. Ignore the small community growing on the north side of the lake and imagine what it would’ve looked like in the mid-1800s.
