Babcock State Park RV campers have 52 campsites to choose from. Twenty-eight of these sites come equipped with electrical hookups and 24 are non-electrical. Half of the sites are open for reservation, while the other half are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of pull-through sites are available, so be sure to book in advance if you require one. No motorhome camping trip is complete without the creature comforts of home. That’s why visitors will be happy to learn that Babcock State Park has Wi-Fi and fairly good phone reception. The park also has drinking water, a dump station, showers, public toilets, and sewer hookups. Much of the park is also accessible for visitors with disabilities. If you have a dog or cat, they’ll love it here! Pets are welcome to join you for your stay as long as they're well-behaved and on a leash.

Is there a thrillseeker in your group? Just north of the park, up the New River, you’ll find Adventures on the Gorge. Book a spot on their whitewater rafting tours and splash through the rushing river. Climb to great heights and zip-line down. There are even spots for paddle boarding and fishing. Adventures on the Gorge has it all and is less than half an hour away. Summerville Lake is also a popular destination because of its crystal clear, warm waters. Locals call this place the Little Bahamas. The lake offers a scuba diving instructor who can teach you the ropes and get you exploring under the water in no time. At some points, visibility is up to 45 feet, and you can swim down to 327 feet below the surface. There's a huge variety of sea life to observe, as well as giant underwater rock cliffs and formations. If you’re an American history buff, check out the Carnifex Ferry Battlefield State Park, which is a mere half an hour away. This park is part of the Civil War Discovery Trail and is jam-packed with Civil War history. There's a museum on the premises, historical reenactments, and even some hiking trails to explore. Once you’ve seen all there is to see and it’s time to go, make sure to fill up your tank at any of the many gas stations on Route 60. Then, Highway 64 is ready to take you east or west, and Highway 79 can take you north or south.
