The Great Outdoors

Taking your Fairfax rental motorhome to Point Reyes National Seashore is a great idea. It covers an area of over 28,000 hectares and offers visitors around 150 miles of hiking trails. The Park was established in 1962 by President John F Kennedy and in 1976 President Ford designated large areas as wilderness, giving the area valuable protection. The park is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, has several visitor centers and is a great place that caters for kids. Of particular interest will be the Historic Lighthouse where you can whale watch between December and April.

Exploring the City

Fairfax is a small town, with an old town feel. It’s been described as “very walkable”, which is about perfect if you are used to big, busy cities, so it’s a great place to park-up your Fairfax camper rental. It is home to the Marin Museum of Bicycling which opened in 2015. The museum takes you on a journey exploring the history of cycling from the 1860s to the modern day. Along with a shop for the usual gifts, they run events, hold film shows and provide a meeting place for cycling clubs.

Crystal and Peter are amazing hosts. This is the second year in a row that I have rented from them and it was once again an outstanding experience. The RV is very clean, modern, and fully equipped. Crystal and Peter do an excellent job making sure you have everything you could possibly need for a great camping weekend including chairs, table, mat, etc outside the RV. I will definitely rent from them again! Highly recommend!

A great camper van! Well thought out, well built and well maintained. The van is easy to drive for a big vehicle (and gets pretty good mileage). It came with a lot of handy gear like pots and pans, cutlery and utensils, and even some camping chairs and a table. With just solar power (and without running the AC), we never got below like 60% on the battery over a 4 night trip, and we were able to take 8 total showers using the outdoor shower setup in the back (which was quite easy to use). Even though the weather was hot, opening the windows and running the fan was enough for us to sleep in pretty late without overheating. Curt was very friendly and accommodating. Overall we had a great experience with this van!

We had a lovely experience with Beverly and her sprinter van! The van had all the hookups and furnishings needed for a great weekend. I really appreciate that Beverly stocks the van with essentials like blankets, clean towels, and soap- things that we forgot to bring on our trip. Beverly was also very responsive when we had trouble remembering how to use the generator on the first night. Would definitely book again!
