The Great Outdoors
Taking your Fairfax rental motorhome to Point Reyes National Seashore is a great idea. It covers an area of over 28,000 hectares and offers visitors around 150 miles of hiking trails. The Park was established in 1962 by President John F Kennedy and in 1976 President Ford designated large areas as wilderness, giving the area valuable protection. The park is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, has several visitor centers and is a great place that caters for kids. Of particular interest will be the Historic Lighthouse where you can whale watch between December and April.

It is home to the Marin Museum of Bicycling which opened in 2015. The museum takes you on a journey exploring the history of cycling from the 1860s to the modern day. Mellissa and David were fantastic hosts from start to finish. They were very attentive and made sure we had a great experience. Their trailer was also wonderful. They kindly provided so many items for us to use and we had everything we needed and more, such as linens, towels, dishes, toiletries, cleaning supplies, toys, chairs, cooking utensils, fire starters and so much more! I’ve rented on Outdoorsy a few times now and renting from Mellissa and David has definitely been our best experience so far! Highly recommend!! Can’t wait to rent from them again!

We loved borrowing Maurice for our California weekend trip. Everything was exactly as described and Lindsay was super nice, even getting milk for our coffee in the morning :) The van has everything you need to get away and it was lovely to have access to running water and a fridge.

Andrew is a great host and was more than accommodating when my original booking with another renter fell through at the last minute. Andrew came back really quickly to confirm that I could rent his van at short notice thus not wrecking a trip I'd spent 12 months planning :-). He responded to my queries very quickly and was very helpful with local knowledge re places to avoid, eat and best shopping locations etc.
