Discover Agate RV rentals for memorable road trips

Agate is an unincorporated community in northeastern Elbert County, Colorado and the site of a U.S. Post Office. There are two rumors regarding how the town was named. Once suggests that it was named after the silica quartz rock found in the area; another story suggests that it was named after the wooden gates that had “A” shaped cross braces. It was originally named Gebhardt by the Union Pacific Railroad which arrived in 1876, but it had been informally referred to as Agate before that by the ranchers who had settled there. The town's name was officially changed to Agate in 1882.

Mike’s communication was tremendous! He was super easy to work with, thorough in communicating information, and easy to get ahold of even during the rental if we had a question. I absolutely recommend booking with him!
