Discover Niceville RV rentals for memorable road trips

Niceville, Florida is a wonderful place to rent an RV and enjoy the spectacular Gulf Coast wonderland that awaits you. Between Pensacola and Panama City and only two hours west of the state capital of Tallahassee, Niceville is a sleepy coastal town that is a popular vacation destination for people all over the southeastern United States and beyond.

A short drive across the Mid-Bay Toll Bridge in your Niceville camper rental will bring you to some of the nicest beaches in the world, while staying in town has its fair share of noteworthy perks, too.

Each July 4th, Niceville has a legendary firework display with festivities to match. Additionally, you can stay in town for the Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow which has lots of Native American dancing, crafts, food, storytelling, and exhibits to help foster an appreciation for the people that inhabited the land long before Europeans ever set foot on the continent. Perhaps the largest event held each year in Niceville is the boggy Bayou Mullet Festival, a fantastic seafood, art, and music festival that takes place each October. Named for the Mullet fish, this festival is the pride of Niceville and brings large crowds annually for over 40 years running. This wonderful celebration of Florida panhandle culture is just one of many great reasons to book an RV in Niceville, Florida.

The Great Outdoors

The most obvious reason for visiting Niceville, and the state of Florida for that matter, is the glorious white sand beaches that are nearby. Henderson Beach State Park is across the Choctawhatchee Bay and has some lovely coastal views. The fine sugar-like sand, shifting dunes, and coastal scrubland welcome you, along with the many animals that call the park home. Swimming, surfing, fishing, and even camping are all allowed and encouraged here as long as you promise to peacefully share the space with the animals that reside there. Santa Rosa and Okaloosa Islands are both barrier islands shielding the interior coast from the ocean and are part of the protected Gulf Islands National Seashore. Santa Rosa has history as well as beauty and was first settled by Tristan de Luna in 1559, making it the earliest known permanent European settlement on the mainland United States. You can take your Niceville motorhome rental in the other direction and visit Point Washington State Forest to see 15,000 acres of breathtaking coastal forest on the barrier islands of Florida. Winding trails snake through the cypress swamps and wet prairies where 10 distinct habitats come together making for a very diverse ecosystem. Point Washington has lots of trails and hiking loops for you to bicycle or walk and see the forest. Blackwater Wildlife Management Area is a great place to visit after you rent an RV in Niceville, FL, as it contains 200,000 acres of protected land full of amazing and exotic animals. You can hunt on the public land in the park or observe the many endangered species like the gopher tortoise. Florida’s oldest state forest is Pine Log State Forest, which allows you to swim, hike, boat, jet ski, fish, or horseback ride among other activities. Apalachicola National Forest is the largest forest in all of Florida and an interesting place to visit with the Niceville RV rental. The Bradwell and Mud Swamp/New River Wilderness areas greet you with beautiful camping areas, ancient forests, and walking paths that will blow you away.

Exploring the City

Aside from enjoying the incredible beaches, Niceville has a few nice activities in town that will keep you occupied in the event that you grow tired from all the sunshine and waves. The Mattie Kelly Arts Center has lots of art galleries and exhibitions showcasing local visual art, while the theater hosts lots of musicals, plays, and Broadway productions. The Air Force Armament Museum is a great place to observe and learn about planes and weapons used between WWI and present day. The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida celebrates and preserves the history of the panhandle region and also holds lots of fun little events like Haunted Heritage Day and the Red, White, and Brew celebrations. Additionally, there are many golf courses, playgrounds, skate parks, delicious seafood restaurants, and shopping centers for you to enjoy while on your Niceville travel trailer rental vacation.

RV Parks

Niceville has many places to stay overnight when you rent an RV here, as well as a Walmart Supercenter in the heart of town to shop and resupply. Aside from the previously mentioned campgrounds and state parks, there are many other RV-friendly parks to accommodate you and your Niceville rental RV. Eglin Family Campground has two separate camping sites, both of which are open to large RVs. Geronimo RV Resort has lots of seaside camping sites all with full hookups, cable, and high-speed internet. Destin West RV Resort, right on the water, shares a beach bar, restaurant, and gorgeous waterfall grotto swimming pool with the Island Beachside Resort next door. The Niceville area is more than accommodating to visitors, and there are too many options to count when it comes to finding a place to hang your hat at night.

The no hassle of setting up the rv. Feeling at home the entire time we had the rv and knowing Matthew had taken care of the little things such as setting up the camp chairs, providing firewood if we needed it and going over all the instructions of how everything worked. Oh! What I loved the most was if I had any questions, Matthew responded quickly up until the day we arrived to take possession of the rv.
