Recommended RV Campgrounds and Attractions around Indianapolis, IN
If it's a nice quiet campground you're looking for when in Muncie, Indiana, then you'll want to check in to Big Oak Park where, as the name suggests, the abundance of really big old oak trees will give you plenty of shade from the summer heat The same trees are also quite effective at blocking out a good amount of city and highway noise. Close enough to the highway for easy access, and just 4 miles off the interstate, Big Oak Park offers reasonably level, grassy pull throughs with ample elbow room, lots of shade, and picnic tables. Hookups include 30 and 50 amp electric, plus water and sewer. The owners are very friendly and hospitable, and if you call ahead they will reserve a site for you and meet you on arrival to direct you in, unless you would rather just arrive and pick your own site. The park is pet friendly, however the campground is rather rustic, so there are are no amenities to speak of.
S&H Campground has been the go-to destination in central Indiana for family fun and memories since 1968. The Campground is nestled along Sugar Creek just 20 minutes from Indianapolis. All camping styles are welcome, from primitive tents to luxurious motorhomes, and we also offer cabin and RV rentals along with facilities to accommodate groups and rallies. In addition to standard campground amenities and activities such as hiking, fishing, and swimming, S&H provides guests with a variety of planned events to enhance the camping experience. S&H is a family-owned campground community, and they encourage campers to share the fun through live music, outdoor movies, and even magic shows. Serving campers is a priority, which is why theyhave rented RVs to guests and provided on-site camper repairs for decades. Their rental fleet is diverse ? with motorhomes, travel trailers, and pop-up campers? and changes often as RV owners join our consignment program. S&H?s certified technicians keep the rental RVs in pristine condition, and they also provide mobile RV service within an hour?s drive of our Greenfield location.
