Exploring the Area

Spring Valley is a town nestled in the farm heartland of Minnesota. It is a place surrounded by magnificent nature and changing landscapes. Even though this community is pretty small, Mystery Cave State Park campers could find plenty of interesting things to see. The main attraction in this area is the Historic Forestville. It is a living museum that depicts the everyday life of Minnesota’s residents in 1899. Minnesota Historical Society operates this museum, and visitors get to see the authentic structures such as farms, barns, kitchens, and a general store from the turn of the century. The real Forestville used to be an important trading center but lost a large number of the residents after the railroad was built in the other part of Fillmore County.

This van had everything we needed and more. Lesley gave us a great rundown and made sure we had all the information to make the most of it. It was easy to drive and a joy to camp in, would give more stars if I could!

The use of the camper turned out to be a nice experience. It was great to just show up and just leave. There were a couple of small quirks but nothing major. one was the broken step. We did have a step of our own that worked to get to the nexr step but the step into the camper was very difficult for my wife. It was a bit high and she needed help to get in. We did use the step stool you left to get into the bed as it was very high.
the other item was no screen on the door or the window by the table. It was very warm that week and we couldn't leave the door open because the flies were getting in. Same with the window.
The bed was comfortable and everything else worked fine.
The host was very good and she promptly answered all our questions.

This was the first time we had rented through Outdoorsy and the experience was great. We felt comfortable with the trailer, Jesse and Amber had thought of everything, and we enjoyed our weekend away!
