One place to consider is the Jugtown Mountain campground, which is open all year long. It is approximately 20 minutes away from the reservoir in Hunterdon County, NJ and is located within 100 acres of rolling hills and magnificent mountain-top land.

Fans of nature study will find plenty of fascinating resources at Merrill Creek Reservoir’s Visitors Center, which contains a wide variety of cultural, historical, and wildlife displays along with general information about the area. Check out the hands-on exhibits, dioramas, weather station, and interactive items. The spacious center offers activities in the orientation area, a 100-seat auditorium, and several classrooms. The facility also features a bird feeding station, wildlife viewing area, and butterfly/hummingbird demonstration garden.
