Would you like to explore Mount Vernon in New York? The nearest RV Park is just 17 miles away in Jersey City, with easy access into New York. It's called Liberty Harbor Park, and you can be assured of a warm welcome here. You get full hookup, restrooms with showers, a laundry facility, and 24-hour security. There is also a rrestaurant and bar, so if you don't feel like cooking or venturing out, you will be able to get good food on site. On a nice day, relax outside your RV with a view of the New York skyline. You will be able to see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Liberty Science Center, and Liberty State Park. Don't forget to bring your camera. There are daily bus tours from here to New York City, and there is a ferry from Monday through Friday. Once in Mount Vernon, there are plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants to keep you occupied. For the history buffs amongst you, don't miss visiting St. Paul's Church National Historic Site.

Croton Point Park is nestled on a small peninsula that stretches into the Hudson River about 25 miles northwest of Greenwich. The park is 500 acres of peaceful, forested riverside, and provides space for both tents and RVs. There are several full-service RV hookups, but only with 30 amps. Several options for recreational activities exist literally steps away from your doorstep at Croton Point Park, including boating, fishing, and hiking. There?s also a boat launch if you?re hauling your own watercraft. Croton Point Park also has a nature center that hosts weekly events and organizes other programs throughout the year. The site itself is conveniently located near the junction of Interstate 9A and the Hudson River Line, making public transit readily available if you want to go to nearby cities like New York, or any of the other outlying New England communities. Iconic locations like Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown mark the way south to Yonkers, the Bronx, and finally Manhattan.

Blydenburgh County Park is a stunning location on the Veterans Memorial Highway. Tucked in the northern entrance is the campground with a variety of sites, including back in?s, hook-ups and dirt sites. The grounds are open all year round, which allows for repeat visits. After all, you might need one with over 600 acres of park to explore. New York isn?t all big city, bright lights and this park reminds you of that. It is awash with stunning natural beauty, and offers a truly tranquil Smithtown sojourn. Avid fishers will rejoice; the Stump Pond is teaming with marine life such as wide mouth bass and pumpkinseed sunfish. For everyone else, there is plenty of hiking and wildlife.
A green oasis with 1,212-acres, in the middle of an urban jungle. Visitors enjoy spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal, a historic transportation building can be found here. From here you can take Statue Cruises which offer ferries to Statue of Liberty National Monument, Ellis Island and Liberty Island.
Ellis Island is an example of America?s immigrant history. Once the nation's busiest immigrant inspection station from 1892 until 1954, it is now home to an immigration museum which showcases the cultural heritage of those that came to the U.S. You can also visit the statue of Liberty.
Follow a fabled and scenic road through some of New York state?s most iconic landmarks to find Black Bear Campground, nestled in the forested countryside near no less than two state parks. Starting in White Plains, the route east along Interstate 294 takes you past Tarrytown of Sleepy Hollow fame, over the Hudson River, and finally through the vast expanse of Harriman State Park to reach the campground in scenic Orange County.
