RV camping at Beltzville State Park is a delight for anglers. The lake and creek are stocked with both warm-water and cold-water fish. Cast your fishing rod into the lake for striped bass, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, perch, and muskellunge. If you’re keen on trout fishing, head to the Pohopocco Creek that is regularly stocked with trout. For winter visitors, ice fishing is an option too, though limited to certain areas of the lake. A valid Pennsylvania fishing license is required to fish here.
Camping at Beltzville State Park
Since Beltzville State Park is a day-use recreational facility, RV camping is available close to the park. About 8 miles from the park is the Don Laine Family Campground in Palmerton. There are 180 campsites available, and campground features include pull-thru sites, tent camping, full hookups, 30 and 50 amp electric service, sewer, water, a dump station, central water spigot, and limited cell phone coverage. Campers have access to restrooms, shower stalls, laundry facilities, a camp store for last-minute camping essentials, a clubhouse, and a café. There is also a swimming pool and a playground where kids can run around and plenty of recreational opportunities for the family, including a recreation room, fishing, biking, boating, golf, and outdoor courts. Exploring the Area
Carbon County campers have plenty to explore in the areas around Beltzville State Park. The town of Jim Thorpe is just over eight miles from the state park and has incredible historical relevance that’s worth exploring. Highlighting the coal mining history of the area along with the sporting prowess of its namesake and Native American athlete Jim Thorpe, this town is a delight.

Had a great trip in this camper! Was very clean and organized. Kitchen came with everything you would need for cooking. Awning and outdoor dug were great for keeping dirt out of the RV! Built in griddle and outdoor mini fridge were helpful for cooking. Had everything needed for easy setup and breakdown of the rv. Towed as you would expect. Host had helpful tools for towing and backing into campsite. Had a wonderful experience with the host and would definitely recommend booking with them.

Meaghan and her trailer were exactly what we needed. We arrived in PA late due to traffic, but Meaghan had talked to us en route and had gotten everything set up. This being our first RV experience, having been tent campers for 30 years, and empty nesters for camping. It was a wonderful experience. My husband sang my praises the entire weekend. He was able to breathe well with his CPAP, which means he slept well. Also, the camper was just what we needed, somewhere to refresh and rejuvenate, nothing more, nothing less. We certainly are already talking about next year. Meghan is in our Rolodex.
Another great point for this trip was when Meghan could not get in contact with me, Outdoorsy was right on point. First experience with the company reaffirmed me sharing with others of the great experience with the company. Rest assured, we will be back.
