The Great Outdoors

Sadly, none of the springs in Boiling Springs are able to be used for swimming, but that doesn’t mean finding all of them are any less fun! The two most popular are The Bubble and Children’s Lake. The Bubble is the largest of the 30 available springs and sits right in town behind the Boiling Springs Tavern. Children’s Lake isn’t one spring per se but rather the result of partially damming the brook that is fed from all of the 30 springs. Dating back to the 1750s when the dam was used as a power source, Children’s Lake now feeds into the Yellow Breeches Creek and allows for catch-and-release fishing year round. Guided fishing experiences are also available for beginners or if you prefer not to worry about navigating the woods.

RV Parks

Despite its reputation for being able to house on-foot travelers, Boiling Springs does not offer overnight RV accommodations. That isn’t to worry though; there are a handful of fabulous options surrounding the town. You’ll feel right at home within Cumberland County. As a note, Carlisle is home to the local Walmart, so if you’re only planning to pass through here with your camper rental for a night or two, this could be an amenity-free easy choice. Just talk with the manager before you hunker down for the night.

Exploring the City

Boiling Springs has a nice little downtown to walk around. You can find a handful of local eateries to fit different moods and styles. Swing into the notable Village Artisans Gallery for a selection of artwork from over 200 Pennsylvanian artists. Depending on the timing of your travel trailer rental trip to Boiling Springs, you might even catch some of these artists in action. Or, grab tickets at the Allenberry Playhouse for some live action plays.

RV was spacious, clean and well maintained. Austin is a great host. He is friendly and accommodating. He delivered and picked up the RV at the times we agreed on and was available for any questions we had about the RV.
