The Gettysburg National Military Park is located in Gettysburg, PA, in the south-central portion of Pennsylvania. The park is only about 10 miles from the border that it shares with Maryland. This town is of decent size on its own, though there are some larger cities not far away. Harrisburg is only about 40 miles to the northeast, while the Baltimore, MD, metro area is less than 60 miles to the southeast.

Gettysburg National Military Park is located in town, which is situated amongst the rolling farmland that is prominent in this part of the state. This region is steeped in history, as it was the area where one of the most influential battles in the Civil War occurred. The Gettysburg/Battlefield KOA is open throughout the warm months of April through October. Full-hookup campsites are available here, and the park welcomes pets. Each year, a battle reenactment is held on-site, as the camp sits directly across from one of the main battlefields. Exploring the Area
