Discover Glenmoore RV rentals for memorable road trips

Although it’s unknown when exactly Glenmoore was founded, records show that there were Welsh Quakers living and farming in the area as early as 1717. In late 1700s and early 1800s, iron ore deposits were discovered, and the area became an important source of iron for the early Pennsylvania civilization. Today, there are a handful of “century farms,” farms that have been owned by the same families for generations. One such example is Century Oaks Farm, which has been owned by the Guest family since 1735.

The Great Outdoors

A common reason to book a RV in Glenmore is to enjoy the outdoors from the comforts of a temporary home. No roughing it necessary. Pennsylvania is well known for its dense woods, gentle rolling hills, and endless supply of fishing streams and ponds. Marsh Creek State Park is a local favorite, not because it’s conveniently located, but that the lake is top-notch. Surrounded by hill ridges, the lake is sheltered and very calm. As a result, fishing is plentiful, and in the wintertime when the lake freezes up, the surface ice is smooth. Ice sailing and ice skating are popular. The park itself is about 2,000 acres, offering several miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding adventures. Bring your Glenmore camper rental; there’s plenty of parking. Although this park is day-use only, there are private campgrounds in the area.

RV Parks

When you book a travel trailer in Glenmore, don’t forget to find a place to park overnight. There are several private campgrounds in the area. Brandywine Creek Campgrounds, set in dense woods, is a spartan facility in Lyndell. It does offer a number of amenities like 30/50 amps hookups, a pool, and laundry facilities. The WiFi is free but may be spotty due to the trees.

Exploring the City

Escape the hustle and bustle of the big city life by visiting Glenmoore. Although it’s a quiet, one-horse town, there’s plenty of things to see and do in the area. An original plantation that was originally a part of William Penn’s Manor, built in early 1700s, can be visited. Although the Springton Manor Farm is not open to visitors, the barn and museum can be toured. Guests can meet the farm animals, and learn about the tools and devices used in those times. The property itself is a mashup of colonial plantation, Victorian tenant farm, and a gentleman’s country estate.
