Originally founded as the Quaker-friendly town of Elm in 1881 by Edward R Price, the name was changed to Narberth in 1893 and became incorporated in 1895. The original settler of the area was Edward Rees who arrived from Wales around 1682. His family surname changed over the years to Prees and finally Price.

The Great Outdoors
Evansburg State Park, close to Collegeville is a haven for wildlife, with a variety of habitats including forests, meadows, and farmland. Along with hiking, biking and horseback riding, fishing is permitted in the Skippack Creek that runs through the park. The park is less than an hour’s drive in your RV rental from Narberth, but only tenting is allowed in the park. There are several RV parks nearby though.

Narberth is a small community with mainly local businesses. One interesting area of the town is the Narbrook Park Historic District. The area was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003 and includes 51 homes built in popular architectural styles such as American Craftsmen and Dutch Revival between 1915 and 1938.
