Getting outdoors
The recreation area of Fisher Park is located at the southern end of the Champion Creek Reservoir and was completely renovated in 2017. Along with a range of camping facilities, there is also a beach area, barbecue facilities, and a boat ramp. Basic restrooms are available near the beach area, and it makes a nice place to take the family for an afternoon by the water.
Camping at Champion Creek Reservoir
Very basic camping facilities are available at Fisher Park on the south-eastern shoreline for RV camping at Champion Creek Reservoir. But if you need something with more home comforts, you’ll have to look further afield.
Exploring the Area
Colorado City is a short drive north of the reservoir and can offer all the basic amenities such as a gas station, shopping, and a choice of restaurants. For greater choice and better facilities, the city of Abilene is a little further to the east.
