Up until the mid-2000s, Eau Claire was a bit of a backwoods city, considered generally unremarkable save for its friendly atmosphere and beautiful natural scenery. That all began to change in early 2007, however, when the city instituted a movement they called "Clear Vision," pushed primarily by the National Civic League. This so-called "renaissance" brought loads of new businesses into Eau Claire, which jump-started the city's artistic and creative endeavors, earning it the nickname of "mini Portland," the reasons for which become clear as you walk the streets of the booming Downtown District.

The Host was on time for pick-up and drop-off. We had an issue with the camper set-up at our campground, and the Host came to us and fixed it within hours. We were, of course, charged for that service, but expected that. I suggested paying for the delivery & set-up; something I will for sure do in the future. Live & learn! This was a first-time camper rental for us, and I think I would do it again.
