The Great Outdoors
Rocks State Park in Jarrettsville spreads across 855 acres and features almost four miles of hiking trails, several picnic pavilions, and opportunities for tubing, wading, and fishing in Deer Creek. Rock climbers can make their way up the routes at The King and Queen Seat — a 190-foot rock outcrop overlooking Deer Creek. Those a little less faint of heart can enjoy panoramic views from the top. Though there aren’t many RV parks within the Forest Hill city limits, there are several in the surrounding area. One option is Bar Harbor RV Park and Marina in Abingdon. Located on the water, the campground has many sites on the water’s edge and some a little more secluded and back in the woods. Interested in spending time out on the water? The marina in the campground has kayak, paddleboat, and paddleboard rentals. Guests can use boat docks and slips to access the water. Exploring the City
