The Great Outdoors

While North Adams might not have too much going on in the nightlife or fine dining department, what it does have is some beautiful wide-open spaces surrounding it. McCourtie Park in Somerset Center is one of the more popular outdoor destinations in the North Adams region thanks to its manicured green spaces and artsy walkways. It’s an ideal place to go for a stroll with the dog or have a family picnic.

RV Parks

Given North Adams' small size, there aren’t any RV parks or campgrounds in town or right outside of it. Moscow Maples, in the town of Moscow, is one of the closest places to camp when you choose a motorhome rental in North Adams. Their sites have full hookups, and there’s a swimming pool and also hot showers on site. The park is right off of Route 12, so it’s quite convenient if you’re thinking about visiting the Detroit area too.

Exploring the City

There aren’t too many attractions in North Adams proper; some driving will be necessary to find sites of interest when you rent an RV here. One of the closest attractions is located in Jonesville, the Grosvenor House Museum. It’s not very big but offers an interesting perspective on Midwestern life through the ages. The house is built in the Victorian style and has many of the original appliances from the turn of the 20th century.
