Nearby is the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway, which is 54 miles long and will take you through forests, woodlands, and many other scenic landscapes. During the summer, the pathway is surrounded by fragrant wildflowers.

Camping at Whitefish Lake

When you have decided to book an RV in Crow Wing County, there are a few options available for you to choose from. About half-an-hour away from Whitefish Lake is Wildwedge RV Park. This RV park offers many different full-hookup sites that come with amenities such as 20, 30, 50 amps, WiFi, and picnic tables. This motorhome campground is pet-friendly, although only two pets are allowed per RV. Besides serving as an RV park, a large golf course is available for use.

Exploring the Area

You’ll find many places to visit with your motorhome while in the area. A short drive away in Brainerd is the Northland Arboretum. Founded in 1972, this 583-acre arboretum is built over a former landfill. It features many native kinds of grass and plants, including marigolds, asters, and milkweed. There is also a small pond built to replicate the one found in Monet’s famous painting

So great we’re planning to do the same thing next year! We have no RV experience but John hooked everything up for us and walked us through everything. Sleeping arrangements were great for a family and we had plenty of room.
