New Jersey is blessed with stunning outdoors, and the state is home to several state parks that are great for a motorhome camping trip. One such park is High Point State Park that’s located on the border of Wantage Township and Montague Township in the northeastern part of the state. Located just outside of Sussex, the park is indeed the highest point in all of New Jersey with the Kittatinny Mountains’ High Point peak that sits in the northern reaches of the park.

Covering over 15,000 acres of parkland, High Point State Park is also known for the High Point Monument that stands at a height of 1803 feet above sea level. The views of rich farmlands, lush forests, valleys, and hills of the three states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York can be appreciated from this stunning vantage point in the park.

An RV is a convenient way of traveling through the area, and you’ll find a range of affordable RV rentals in Sussex County. Not too far from the state park is Hopatcong and Newark that you could also check out during your vacation.
