Lehigh Gorge Campground

Head in any direction with your White Haven RV rental, and you will arrive at a unique natural destination in no time. One of them is just minutes away, and its name is Hickory Run State Park. The park has some extraordinary features such as the Boulder Field, where you can test your agility, and the magnificent Hawk Falls, offering refreshment to the hikers and a sight to remember. Swimmers can splash into Sand Spring Lake and top it off with catching some sun while relaxing on the shore. Anglers should try their luck at Hickory Run and Mud Run – both of these streams abound with trout. You can also visit the park in the winter and continue the outdoor experience with ice skating, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. If you follow the Lehigh River south in your campervan rental, you will arrive at another wonderful spot along its banks – Lehigh Gorge State Park. Dramatic rock outcroppings are the staple of the gorge with the river meandering at its bottom. Hiking and biking trails offer stunning vistas of the gorge, and you can explore it more closely by embarking on a whitewater rafting trip down the river. Whether you are looking for a perfect place to test your new camera or just enjoy nature in all its glory, find your way to the Buttermilk Falls, and you won’t be disappointed. Anglers who are hoping to find some peace can choose one of the numerous spots along the river. When in eastern Pennsylvania, make sure you put Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area on your itinerary – this incredible place will show you how the river has shaped the surrounding landscape and make your motorhome camping experience complete. From slowly paddling down the river with views of the tree-covered hills to hiking the famed Appalachian Trail, campers will always have something to do. Historic roads and structures found around the park further add to its beauty. The river even has three beach areas where you can swim and completely disconnect from the outside world.
