In 1757, 249 acres of land in southeastern Pennsylvania was deeded over to Isaac Meier and his wife, Catherine. A few short years later, Isaac was deeding out lots because he planned to create a town right along the creek. In 1770, Isaac Meier was killed by an unknown assassin, and in the years that followed, people began referring to this area as Meier’s Town, after him.
