Discover Baldwin Lake RV rentals for memorable road trips

When you are considering a camping trip in the summer, make your way to Illinois for an enjoyable motorhome camping vacation to Baldwin Lake, a 2018-acre jewel. As a part of the Kaskaskia River State Fish and Wildlife Area, Baldwin Lake is considered an engineering feat as it was built as a cooling pond for the coal-fired Baldwin Generation Station. Today, only a small part of the lake that is closest to the power plant is used for its original purpose, while the rest of the lake is used for recreation. Renting an RV is a convenient way of traveling around Baldwin Lake, and you could also include visits to the nearby towns and cities around the lake, including the towns of Red Bud and Sparta.

The lake is known to abound in a healthy population of various fish species, including largemouth bass, hybrid striped bass, crappie, bluegill, and freshwater drum. Fishing along parts of the shoreline and in certain areas of the lake is restricted so keep a lookout for signs. Don’t forget to carry a valid fishing license.

Nicole & Marc are excellent hosts! They were very accomodating and ensured that the trailer was in tip top shape before departure, even helping me with a 7 pin light adapter when my car's wiring was weird. This is a spacious teardrop with very nice ammenities and beautiful & durable woodwork and cabinetry in the kitchenette. All the gear for making meals. Neat features that we used a lot included the 12v rechargeable battery (w/ 120v plugin), powerful Maxxair fan (keeps the cabin full of fresh cool outdoor air), large propane tank + 2 burner stove, 4 leveling jacks, and a gorgeous moon window - starwatching was a special treat ✨️ lightweight and easy to tow at highway speeds with a 1500lb rated SUV. Thanks you two, happy camping!

Eli made the experience smooth and very easy. Incredible experience, modernized camper with all the things we could possibly need. Eli and his wife were very thoughtful in equipping the camper with a variety of things including but not limited to cooking tools, towels, rugs, outdoor rug, etc! The outdoor awning was awesome. 10/10!

5/5 Stars – An Unforgettable Road Trip with HaRVey!
We recently returned from a fantastic vacation with HaRVey the Winnebago Revel, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience.
The Hosts: Nikki & Joe
From the very start, our hosts, Nikki and Joe, were absolutely exceptional. They were incredibly gracious, helpful, and brought a wonderful, energetic, and positive attitude to the whole process. It is completely obvious that they genuinely love sharing their camper and helping their guests create amazing memories. They took the time to make sure we felt comfortable, answered all of our questions, and made the whole rental process seamless.
The Rig & The Ride
As for HaRVey itself—what a perfect adventure vehicle! It was easy to maneuver, has a tight turn radius, and handled like a dream. It was a massive plus to be able to park easily just about anywhere, quickly change clothes in total privacy, or whip up a meal on the go. The Winnebago Revel is exceptionally well-designed and exceptionally clean.
Off-Grid Ready
Boondocking was no problem and completely stress-free. The robust onboard battery system easily handled running the refrigerator for a couple of days without a single issue, giving us total freedom to enjoy the peace and quiet without worrying about power.
