Close to Wyoming, in the Byron Center, you can find Woodchip Campground. It has full hookup, waterfront access, and pool access. It's a great place for families to stay. There are many organized activities for children, and some unique playground equipment, including a jumping pillow. There are pedal carts to ride, and if it's your child's birthday while you are there, a party can be arranged. If you want to get out and about while you are staying here, there are 21 state parks in Wyoming, which you can explore. The Killpecker Sand Dunes in the Red Desert are spectacular and you should go and visit them. These living dunes are one of the largest in America and cover 109,000 acres. About one mile to the west of the RV Park is the Kent County Trail, which offers a paved bicycle trail system. There are also shops close to the park and in Wyoming.
Hideaway Hills Family Campground in Battle Creek, Michigan has plenty to do! There are pull-through sites, and the setting in the rolling hills makes for a very peaceful place. The sites are nicely spaced from one another and each one has a picnic table. The pool is covered, and there is a pond and playground for kids to explore. The indoor rec room will keep you busy if the weather doesn't suit you. Outdoor activities abound! Borrow a boat and try to catch some fish in the pond. Play a round of disc (Frisbee) golf, or take a walk through the woods on one of the hiking trails. Hideaway Hills is just far enough out of town to be quiet, and enjoy the sounds of the woods. Battle Creek, Michigan is the birthplace of breakfast cereal, so pour yourself a quick bowl of breakfast in the place where it all started, and get out to explore this state.
Elkhart Campground in Elkhart, Indiana, has lovely green grass and space for big rigs! Graveled sites are level, have picnic tables, and provide full hook ups. The trees are beautiful, and this campground is quiet, even though it is close to the busy highway. Cool off and relax in the swimming pool after a game of basketball on the court. Drag the kids away from the playground and challenge them to a round of mini-golf or teach them to play horseshoes. There is a large fenced area to take your dog for a run. The facilities are kept clean, and the raised flower beds are pretty. There is a large recreation hall available for rent if you are planning a large gathering. The campground is conveniently located and easy to find. It is outside the city, which is part of what makes it a quiet, pleasant spot, but not so far away you can't reach all the amenities of Elkhart. There are plenty of treed pull-through sites and the wi-fi works well.
Potato Creek State Park is just southwest of South Bend, Indiana and has 30 amp electrical and water hookups. The park is well-maintained and level campsites have paved pads. Sites come in a variety of styles, but most have some trees for shade. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. There is a playground and well-marked walking trails. Take some time to explore the hiking trails or get an adrenaline rush on the mountain bike trails. Rent a canoe, rowboat or kayak and go for a paddle on Worster Lake, or spend some time at the pleasant swimming beach. The lake does not allow motor boats, so your peaceful paddle will not be disrupted. The nature center in the park has a wildlife viewing window with 1-way glass so the birds and squirrels don't even know they're being watched. The camp store is stocked with all the camping essentials. Enjoy your evenings sitting around your campfire, and drinking in the quiet atmosphere of this state park.
