Encompassing 493 acres, the historically significant park received its name after George Washington built a temporary fort in 1777 en route to Valley Forge. Though the park only has 3.5 miles of hiking trails, guests can also fish for catfish, carp, panfish, and suckers on Wissahickon Creek, enjoy a picnic at one of the picnic pavilions or play a round of disc golf. And when weather permits, you can also do some sledding and skiing on the park’s Militia Hill.

The rental experience with Samona was effortless. The time she spent with us when we picked up the camper was very helpful. The reference information she left in the camper was appreciated as well. The coach is extremely well maintained and was the perfect size for our vacation. Her quick communication and professionalism was also a huge plus.
