Most areas have beginner and intermediate slopes. For the skilled and more adventurous skiers, there are black diamond and double-diamond slopes, too. Though not the oldest, the largest ski area is Camelback in Tannersville, which boasts 39 trails.There are several state game lands in the area in which hunting and trapping are allowed during the appropriate seasons. Deer, turkeys, grouse, rabbits, pheasants, and many other small games are common prey. Black bear and elk are permitted, though the hunting seasons for either are very short and there is a strict limit on bags (one bear per year, for example). Hunting in Pennsylvania is highly regulated, and the rangers and managers have been known to enact hefty fines for violations. Be sure to obtain the appropriate licenses. Hiking and biking are welcomed on the state game lands, though there are not as many established trails and conditions may be rugged. Mushroom and berry picking are also popular activities.

Can't say enough good things about Adrian and his motorhome. Been renting Class A’s the last few years and this was our first diesel and the best we experienced, by far!
