Getting Outdoors
Little Creek Reservoir offers 40-miles of shoreline, which is great for fishing. Boat fishing is possible, but only in canoes, kayaks or boats powered by electric motors, as gas engines are banned from the lake. This means that the reservoir is very peaceful and a lovely place to relax and listen to the sounds of nature around you. Anglers can enjoy fishing for largemouth bass, black crappie, sunfish, and channel catfish, to name just a few species available.
Camping at Little Creek Reservoir
No camping facilities are available at the reservoir, but nearby there’s a full range of RV campgrounds. Just outside Toano, a couple of miles from the reservoir, is the American Heritage RV Park Campground with almost 140 full hook-up sites, with a choice of shaded or open. Over 80 of the sites are pull-thru and big enough for the largest rigs, plus every site has free WiFi and cable TV. To keep you entertained, there’s a swimming pool, miniature golf, game room, and outdoor sports facilities. This could be the perfect place for family camping near Little Creek Reservoir.
Exploring the Area
The small town of Toano is just on the edge of the northeast corner of the reservoir and has everything you need to stock up before camping with an RV. You’ll find several gas stations, a good choice of restaurants and bars, and plenty of shopping facilities.

Great little camper. Bigger on the inside than you realize. It’s my second time booking this one. It’s my go to for solo trips or trips with the dogs. They’ve got it set up to be super capable and otherwise it’s all you need! So easy to manage and haul, so totally worth it.
