Getting Outdoors
There are several parks around Lake Arbutus for visitors to enjoy. One of these sites is West Arbutus which has lots of green space, ideal for rest and relaxation. The park is also home to a large swimming beach, which is very popular, especially in the summer months. If you are spending your day relaxing on the sand, the clear water of the lake provides a great place to cool down when camping at Lake Arbutus.
Camping at Lake Arbutus
There are several places to rent a camper near Lake Arbutus. There are also a few campsites around the lake, but some of the best and closest are the sites located in West Arbutus Park. The park is host to 44 campsites, 36 of which has electric hook-ups, and a range of other amenities including flush toilets, showers, a playground, and a shelter building. The great thing about this park is that 15 of the campsites are located directly on the lakeshore, so you can wake up to some stunning views.
Exploring the Area
The lake is very close to Levi's Mound Recreation Area, which is commonly referred to as the best mountain bike trail system in the Midwest. There are so many trails to enjoy; you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Wow! First time renters through Outdoorsy & Amanda & Hannah set the expectations SO HIGH. For the size, amenities, durable & comfort their camper is amazing. We had so much fun. Also as a huge plus Amanda is so nice, generous and understanding. She was super flexible with return times which made our trip less stressful. She also answered super quickly when we panicked and forgot how to do something. The van definitely tests your patience if you never stayed in a rig before, but it was so worth it. The top sleeping part was the best because of the air flow & the outdoor shower was SO NICE. Overall really loved the customer hospitality provided to us, the clear instructions, the cleanliness and comfiness the camper provided. 11/10 experience and would easily rent from Amanda and Hannah again. Thanks for making our first experience so amazing and setting the bar super high!
