Originally founded in 1761 by William Addams, Adamstown was originally known as “Addamsburry.” The town was incorporated in 1850. It labels itself the “antique capital of the United States.” That’s because numerous dealers and collectors flock to this town each and every year, seeking out some of their favorite collections. When you book an RV in Adamstown, you will also be in the heart of some incredible history and not too far away from Gettysburg and Philadelphia.
Not too far away from Adamstown is French Creek State Park near St. Peters and Pottstown. You can also head closer to Philadelphia and visit Valley Forge National Historical Park near King of Prussia. That is the location where George Washington and his troops hunkered down in the harsh winter of 1777 and 1778 during the Revolutionary War.
