Meet your host, Matthew & Jaimie

Member since 2019

We are a family of five from Fridley MN. We started camping/RV'ing back in 2009 with a 70's Bethany Popup. We have since upgraded to a Mallard bunkhouse and, most recently, a Grand Design Imagine . We love trying new places and our goal is to visit/camp at every MN State Park. We have 20 parks checked off so far, with Whitewater and Bear Head Lake being our favorites. We used our 10 years of camping experience to pick out just the right travel trailers to meet all our family's needs. We really enjoy using our campers and know you will too!

Matthew and Jaimie are the best. They are very thorough and efficient at training you about their trailer as well as checking you back in when you're done. And their trailer is kept in tip top shape. If you want a hassle-free experience, definitely rent from these guys.

The camper was comfortable and the experience was wonderful. Matthew and Jaimie were helpful and responsive during the whole process. The camper was well equipped with supplies needed. Clear instructions were provided in video form on the camper setup.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I’d give A LOT more! From start to finish, the experience was better than we ever could have imagined. This was our first time renting from Outdoorsy and first time towing an RV. Before the trip even began, Matt and Jaimie were incredible at answering all questions quickly and thoroughly. When the day arrived to pick up, they were more than accommodating! The RV was absolutely spotless and Matt walked through everything with us that we’d need to know and helped us hook up the hitch. This was invaluable! They also provided us with videos on everything we could ever need to know while camping. Seriously - above and beyond! If we had a question, they were quick to respond and were super helpful. The drop off was easy-peasy. They are the friendliest, kindest, and most generous people and we are SO grateful to have had the opportunity to meet them and rent their RV. It’s gorgeous and so technologically advanced! Will 100% be renting the “Highway Hilton” again!!

This was our first experience using Outdoorsy and renting a camping trailer and boy, did we get lucky in selecting one owned by Jaimie and Matthew DeBoer! They made the whole experience easy and stress-free. They prepare you for success with the immensely helpful videos they produce, and they take their time with you on pick-up day ensuring you're comfortable with everything before heading out. After that, they were quick to responded whenever we reached out with a question or a request. The camper trailer itself was in terrific condition - you can tell they take good care of it. In all, we hit the jackpot as fist time renters in getting the DeBoer's as owners. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful time on our camping trip.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Pick up and drop off times are set for noon, although we are flexible as long as there are not sceduling conflicts. We ask that these times be scheduled in advance and treated as appointments.

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
If your campsite has "full hookups" including electric, water, and sewer, you are able to use every system in the RV for an extended period of time. All hoses, cords, etc are included with the rental. Check out my operational video on how this works. Drivenorthrv.com

Q.What if my campsite is electric only?
A.
If your campsite only has electric, you can use the potable water system with the Rv's onboard water pump. The fresh water tank holds 52 gallons, so you do have to "ration" your water supply while camping. Showers use the most water, so they may have to be short and limited :) If we don't have water at our site, we tend to use the camp ground showers.

Q.What about camping with no hookups or boon docking?
A.
Going somewhere with no hookups whatsoever? This is allowed, but you will need a generator or solar panels. We offer a generator for $25/night. This will power all the RV's electrical systems. Solar panels will only "trickle charge" the RV batteries. The batteries on the RV will only run the lights, water pump, fans, and furnace. TV/Air Conditioning/outlets will not operate off of solar.
