Situated on the shoreline of the large Mille Lacs Lake, water sports activities are top of the list of things to do when you book an RV in Mille Lacs County. Boating and fishing are both popular here, and many fish species may be caught, including, crappie, bluegill, bass, sunfish, and many more. There are two trails in the park, both suitable for all ages and fitness. The Lake Mille Lacs Scenic Byway is a 68-mile loop around the lake that passes through the park for around 0.4 miles. Also passing through the park is the Soo Line Trail, that runs for over 105 miles, connecting Royalton to the state line close to Lake Superior. Both proposed trails meet up with larger state-funded trails, giving an extended area for all hikers.
