Lebanon Hills Campground

When camping at Lebanon Hills Campground, all you need to do to begin your adventure is step out of your rental RV and start discovering the secrets of Lebanon Hills Regional Park. Miles of trails are waiting for bikers and hikers ready to stretch their legs, while numerous lakes that you can find at every step offer exciting activities such as swimming and fishing, as well as canoeing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Winter opens up a completely new world of recreation – visitors can take part in cross-country and skate skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding. Don’t think that you can’t drop by the lakes during the cold months – they turn into excellent spots for ice fishing and ice skating. It takes less than half an hour's drive to reach another urban oasis offering an escape from the city – Fort Snelling State Park. Start your journey around the park at the Thomas C. Savage Visitor Center, a place where you can get familiar with the park’s history and ecology. One of the highlights is Snelling Lake, great for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. In addition to a network of trails, hikers will get a chance to hike on Pike Island, sitting on the very spot where the Minneapolis and the Mississippi Rivers meet. Wildlife abounds in the park – white-tailed deer, foxes, and turkeys are waiting for curious visitors at the forest bottoms and marshes. Even though this is a day-use park and you can’t enjoy motorhome camping in it, it is definitely worth visiting. Adventurers looking for a real escape into the remote wilderness can find what they are looking for at Minneopa State Park. Rent a camper near Lebanon Hills Campground and park it at this extraordinary place whose name comes from the Dakota language and is translated as "water falling twice." And you will soon understand why it got the name – breathtaking waterfalls are hiding in the lush vegetation, offering refreshment and a chance to admire nature in all its beauty. Bison, songbirds, and squirrels are only some of the animals that made the park their home. There is something for the history lovers, too – the Seppmann Windmill brings German architecture and takes visitors back to the 19th century.
