The Great Outdoors

When you rent a motorhome in Fort Washington, be sure to check out Fort Washington State Park in Springfield. Stretching across 493 acres, Fort Washington State Park received its name after George Washington established a temporary fort here in 1777 on the way to Valley Forge. The park offers guests approximately four miles of hiking trails as well as opportunities for fishing on Wissahickon Creek. Common catches include catfish, carp, panfish, and suckers. While at the park, you can also enjoy a picnic at one of the pavilions or play a round of disc golf. During winter months, you can also sled and ski on the park’s Militia Hill.

Exploring the City

Fort Washington is full of history. One of the historical structures in the city is the Highlands Mansion and Gardens. Erected over 200 years ago and stretching across 44 acres, this estate features a majestic late-Georgian mansion and a formal two-acre garden enclosed by massive stone walls. In addition to the garden and mansion, the grounds have nine outbuildings including a greenhouse, bank barn, and springhouse. Today, the estate is available for private rentals and public tours.

I rented the RV for a weekend at a race track, and it was perfect. Tim delivered the RV on time, set it up, and walked me through how to use it. The RV was clean and modern. Would rent again.
