Pine Grove Furnace State Park sees a small section of the trail run through it, so it is a perfect place to pick up the second half of the walk. For any keen cyclists, the Cumberland County Biker Trail also crosses the Appalachian Trail here. This historical trail follows the old railroad and is a relatively flat 2.5 miles. Winding through the dense Michaux State Forest, there is an abundance of unique flora and fauna to be discovered here. This is a particularly popular route; so do expect to share it with others!
