Be sure to visit Susquehanna State Park in Havre De Grace when you book an RV rental in Perryman. A stunning state park along the northwest banks of the Chesapeake Bay, the park is filled with history and natural beauty. Historic sites like the Carter-Archer Mansion, the Jersey Toll House, and what is left of the Susquehanna and Tidewater Canal adorn the park while miles of multi-purpose trails beckon hikers, bike riders, and horse riders. There’s also a functioning gristmill within the Rock Run Historic Area. In addition to utilizing the miles of nature trails, visitors to the park can enjoy boating and fishing.
RV Parks
When you choose to rent an RV in Perryman, you'll find that there isn't an abundance of RV parks in the city. However, there are a few in the outlying areas. One option in Abingdon is Bar Harbor RV Park and Marina. Featuring several campsites on the water’s edge and some pushed back farther in the woods, each site has full hookups, a concrete patio, and a fire pit. Campground amenities include a playground for toddlers and a camp store with fuel, gas, and other camping essentials. At the marina, you can access the water via boat docks and slips or rent a kayak, paddleboat, paddleboard, or other small watercraft.
Exploring the City
While visiting Perryman, drive less than 20 minutes to Havre de Grace and visit Concord Point Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in Maryland which can be accessed by the public. Built in 1884, the lighthouse has been fully renovated and returned to its original splendor. Besides being one of the oldest beacons in Maryland, Concord Point is the northernmost lighthouse on the Chesapeake Bay. Though decommissioned in 1975, the lighthouse is now open for general admissions on weekends from April through October.
